Funbi

Funbi is committed to the therapeutic effects of meeting people where they are. She has pursued her interest in this field through studying psychology and training to become an integrative psychotherapist, with an MA achieved in 2013. She has worked in private practice, full-time, since 2015 and is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As part of continuing her professional development, Funbi has come to Arise on a placement towards obtaining a doctorate in counselling psychology.

Funbi works with adults and couples. She uses a flexible approach to enable the time spent in therapy to be relevant to the areas that matter for clients outside the therapy hour. This involves engendering a safe and comfortable place, to bring and make space for, the areas of one’s self and/or relationship that aren’t usually seen in our ‘business-as-usual’ lives.
