Gillian
Gillian is a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist and accredited professional member of the BACP. Gillian qualified in 2017 with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling which she completed at South Essex College of Further and Higher Education.
Gillian works in a person-centred approach although uses a variety of different models, depending on what she considers would be beneficial to meet client’s needs. She has experience working with various ages ranges from school aged children, young teens and adults.
She currently works within the private sector and also has experience working for local charity-based counselling services and the NHS. Working with clients face to-to-face, SKYPE, or telephone, whichever method the client prefers.
Life can be very challenging at times, as Gillian well knows from her own personal experience, which is the path that lead her to become a counsellor. Therefore, she can fully understand that at challenging times within our lives support can be a lifeline that can help with one’s own personal struggle, just to be able to talk and be truly listened to within a safe confidential space without fear of being judged can be beneficial and a positive step towards healing.
